Volunteer with us as part of the 50th Anniversary Legacy Project to expand the living shoreline along the soundside of Jockey’s Ridge by helping to plant marsh grass. Jockey’s Ridge is home to the tallest living sand dune system on the Atlantic Coast and includes wetland habitats on the Roanoke Sound. Volunteer with us as we expand the living shoreline at Jockey’s Ridge! 
LOCATION: MEET AT THE VISITOR CENTER
PLEASE CONSIDER BRINGING THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:
Footwear options include: Closed toed water shoes, boots or sneakers that you don’t mind getting wet;
Please wear clothing that can get wet;
Sun protection
Sunscreen
Hat
Sunglasses
Sunshirt/ loose clothing
Hydration/water bottle
Optional snack bar
