This is a FREE event and open to the public. Jockey’s Ridge does not have a fee for entrance.

The Jockey’s Ridge Parking lot offers a lot of great parking space for the four-day celebration. Jockey’s Ridge State Park is located at 300 W Carolista Drive, Nags Head, NC 27959.

On June 6, ahead of the live concert and drone show, satellite parking options are available at the YMCA and Nags Head Elementary with bus services to and from the park. Please plan ahead to park at one of these two lots.

June 6 – Two Satellite Parking Lot Options 

(rain date June 7)

  1. YMCA – 3000 South Croatan Highway, Nags Head, NC 27959
  2.  Nags Head Elementary – 3100 S Wrightsville Ave, Nags Head, NC 2795

Buses will rotate through the two satellite lots and drop off at Jockey’s Ridge State Park Visitor Center on June 6th (June 7 if rain date required). This service will run throughout the evening. After the drone light show, buses will pick up at the Visitor Center and return you to the designated satellite lots.

Pets are permitted in all state parks. We do ask for your consideration of other patrons.  

  • Please be reminded of the heat and temperature of the sand at Jockey’s Ridge.
  • Please clean up after your animal. 
  • Be aware that the live entertainment and drone light show events will include potentially loud music and lighting.
  • They are to be on a leash no longer than 6 feet.
  • They are to be under control of owner.
  • Pets are prohibited from entering any building.

You may bring a chair. Please be courteous and aware of space restrictions at the satellite parking and bus route on June 6.

Yes! We are excited to have two great vendors joining us:

Ten O Six Food Truck will be joining us and Tubbs Hot Dogs will be available for your purchase!

  • Sunscreen
  • Water
  • Comfortable shoes for walking in sand
  • Blanket/chair for seating as needed
  • Boogie boards & kites for fun on the dunes

Gates will open for parking at Jockey’s Ridge following regular park hours. 

Jockey’s Ridge visitor safety is always a top priority. The park staff and Park Rangers will be on site throughout the event and available for any emergency situation.

Possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited.
